Specialized Hard Rock $300.00 | ||
Specialized Hardrock has mostly new
components. I'm a bike hobbyist who loves working on bikes and trying new things. On this bike, I have installed a quick release handlebar stem that allows you to raise and lower the bars quickly for comfort and different kinds of riding. This also allows you to turn the handlebars sideways to flatten the bike for storage purposes. |
||
Once the handlebars are turned
and the quick release pedals removed, you can store this bike in a space as wide as the seat. I've always kinda chuckled at the bad photos people post on Craigslist, like looking at the bike straight from the front, but in this case, you need to see how narrow you can make this bike! |

New components include NEW
Shimano Deore brakes, with Origin8 mini levers, Microshift 7 speed twist
shifter, and a sturdy Topeak rack. I installed all new brake and shift cables and housings. I removed all but one front chain ring and the front derailleur converting this to a 1 by 7. We live in Florida - it's flat here - you do not need 21 speeds, that's silly. Most local people use 3 gears unless they are roadies. Going 1 by 7 eliminates a shifter, a cable, and a derailleur. |
